ELIGIBILITY:
The Queen of Beer Women's Homebrew Competition is open to all non-commercial, home brewed beer and meads produced by persons of female gender. Beer produced by or with the assistance of persons of the male gender is not eligible. "Assistance" is defined as: coaching during the brewing process, measuring ingredients, performing chemical reaction and/or timing calculations, racking, bottling or in any other way manipulating wort or fermented product. Lifting of heavy equipment or full brewing vessels, milling of grain and operation of a capper device are permitted. Female competition judges are eligible to enter in categories other than those they will be judging, since "blind tasting" will be employed in the judging process. Female competition staff members, EXCEPT cellar master and registrar are eligible to enter.
CATEGORIES:
All 28 of the 2004 BJCP Style categories are open for entry. Please denote the category and sub-category of each entry. Refer to the BJCP Style Guidelines web page for descriptions. Depending on the amount of entries, some categories may be combined for Judging.
Starting September 10th the QOB Registration Wizard will be available to help you enter your beers into the competition and create bottle labels based on your registration information. Please attach with a rubber band (no tape or glue) an official QOB bottle label which is created by the QOB Registration Wizard.
During registration special attention should be given to the category and style placements so that your brew will be judged according to the proper style. The QOB Registration Wizard will help guild you with category and style during the registration process. Brew entries are limited to one (1) per style, three (3) per category.
The Queen of Beer Entry Registration Wizard will help you enter your beers into the competition and create bottle labels based on your registration information.

ENTRIES AND BOTTLE LABELS:
Each entry shall consist of: three (3) bottles free of commercial labels, raised marks of lettering, or other identifying markings that are not part of the official entry label. A 12 oz brown bottle is preferable. Clear or green bottles may be disqualified from an award.
FEES:
Cost for entering the competition is $6.00 for each entry.

HOMEBREW CONTEST ENTRY DEADLINE:
Beer entries will be accepted September 17th through October 9th 2005 at the Wine Smith in Placerville. The Wine Smith is closed on Mondays.

Please use any method that will deliver to the below address. The proven most dependable is UPS. Local entries may be dropped off directly to the Wine Smith.
